Annual General Meeting 2023
Jersey NZ invites all members to attend the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 27 September at 1.00 pm at a Hamilton location to be confirmed. The 2023 Annual General Meeting will be a hybrid meeting.
That means that you can either join us in person, or online. While we do hope that many members (especially locals) will attend the meeting, the ability to join via Zoom will enfranchise all members. Afternoon tea will be provided.
Please register to attend by emailing Pam Goodin at pgoodin@jersey.org.nz by Friday 22 September and indicate if you will be attending in person or via zoom so that we can plan accordingly.
TOP & Classification 2023
Application forms for the upcoming TOP season will be available soon and will close on 31 August 2023. Don’t forget that you can also register online via the website.
Interested in finding out more about becoming an Inspector? Give us a call and book in for a ride along – spend a day out in the field with an Inspector to get a feel for the job and all it entails. Contact Karen Maxwell at kmaxwell@jersey.org.nz

Registrations
The close of Herd Book is rapidly approaching and Karen needs your registration information by 20 August in order to be able to process your registrations in time – simply call the office or e-mail kmaxwell@jersey.org.nz. After 31 August 2023, all 2022 born animals will be charged at the over 1 yr rate.
Show Season 2022/23
- The North Island Championships will be held at the Whangarei A & P Show on 2 December 2023.
- The South Island Championships will be held at Christchurch A & P Show from 15 – 17 November 2023.
- The Royal Show will be held at the Horowhenua A & P Show on 18 – 21 January 2024 (see note below).
- The NZ Dairy Event will be held at Manfield Park, Feilding on 23 – 25 January 2024.
The Horowhenua A&P Show will be holding a full Royal Show in 2024 and would like to hear from those who are looking to attend in order to determine what housing will be required. Please email Jill at horo.api@gmail.com. The office team can’t get to all of the shows, please keep your photos coming in to us so that we can continue to publicise the breed through show results. Getting the best of the best in front of farmers!
